Crystal Lake Memories Follow-Up For Fall 2011?

A little over a month ago, we brought our readers the very first news that a brand new ebook edition of Crystal Lake Memories was in the works via a conversation with Producer Daniel Farrands. The new eBook was mentioned to include a chapter on Friday the 13th 2009 and new interviews. It looks as though we might be seeing this book sooner than expected.

Melanie Kinnaman (Pam Roberts, A New Beginning) posted some great info about the book on her Facebook account yesterday that will show that things are moving along quite rapidly for the new update on the Friday The 13th book. Below is what Melanie had to say about her invovlement:

JUST RETURNED FROM MY INTERVIEW WITH PETER M. BRACKE FOR THE NEW EDITION OF "CRYSTAL LAKE MEMORIES". I WAS NOT INTERVIEWED FOR THE FIRST BOOK SO IT WAS GREAT TO GIVE HIM MY "2 CENTS WORTH"!! HAD A GREAT TIME MEETING PETER.......OH..... and he's handsome!!

When asked when the new book was going to be released, she mentioned later this Fall. That would be a very quick turnaround on the book to fans, but it is plausible as we were told it was going to be an ebook and not a physical product. However, that could all change and perhaps a decision will be made to produce a physical book if the demand is there.

We will keep an eye on this and let everyone know when more information is available! IN the mean time, please check out the Facebook page for Crystal Lake Memories as they will be keeping everyone informed with new information as well!

  2. Hot damn, I am down with this. However, I would much rather prefer to have an actual book as I like to collect these things.

  3. Awesome! Cannot wait to get my hands on the book. It's very cool that they are going back to complete the book with the new movie and all.

  4. Heard from Lar Park that Peter pissed off quite a few of the F13 actors by publishing comments that were supposed to be "off the record". Will be surprised if Bracke can find more people willing to be interviewed.

  6. From what I have been told, he is indeed getting the interviews he needs, so hopefully any hard feelings that may have occurred before have subsided.

  7. This is truly awesome news and cannot wait to get this new extension of the book. I really do hope that there is a real book to buy, however.
