'Friday The 13th: The Game' Reveals Tom Savini Jason Design, 'Jason Goes To Hell' Skin And New Kill Video

We are in full-on "Early 2017" mode now as fans anxiously await the release of Friday The 13th: The Game. It has been a long and exciting journey with a great many reveals during the process of developing the game and now this past Friday night at Pax East, Gun Media unleashed their latest kill trailer featuring new designs of Jason from Jason Takes Manhattan and Jason Goes To Hell.

Not only did Gun bring the new trailer (below), but they unveiled the new Tom Savini Jason design as well! Below are the new photos of the Savini design as well as our first look at the Jason Goes To Hell skin for the game.

Editor's Note: Jason Goes To Hell design looks great, but Gun and Illfonic decided to switch the eye from Jason's left to his right to match the look from the earlier films and not from Jason Goes To Hell. I get the idea, but I would have preferred to keep the look from the film. Also, Jason's exposed spine seen in the film was not included in the character design shown below. It's a little disappointing and hopefully it will be included by game's release.

From Pax East 2017

"This trailer highlights a new song from Crazy Lixx ("Killer"), and features a host of new brutal kills and a first look at Jason models from Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan, and Friday the 13th Part 9: Jason Goes to Hell.

New version of Jason Voorhees, created exclusively for Friday the 13th: The Game by the legendary horror icon himself, Mr. Tom Savini

This is the first Jason Voorhees created by Tom Savini since Friday the 13th Part 4: The Final Chapter (1984), and the first new Jason in the series since the 2009 film reboot.

At the end of Friday the 13th Part 9: Jason Goes to Hell, Jason gets drug into the depths of hell, seemingly gone forever. This Jason model reflects Tom Savini's interpretation of what might have happened to Jason after this epic event."

Friday the 13th: The Game is being developed for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, for release in Early 2017.
