Friday The 13th Part 3 To Screen At Blood Thirsty Thursday

Friday July 13th is quickly approaching as is a number of great events and special surprises for our website and the fans. One of the most requested and anticipated events for fans is the ability to see a proper 35MM screening of Friday The 13th Part 3 in polarized 3D. This is indeed a rarity due to the limited number of 3D prints, so when the opportunity arises, everyone should try and take full advantage.

We are all aware of the Alamo Drafthouse's Summer of '82 events this year where they are featuring the biggest hits and fan favorites from the Summer of 1982 and Friday The 13th Part 3 was announced to be apart of the event! Well, if you cannot make it to the official Summer of '82 showing on July 13th, do not fret if you live in the San Antonio, Texas area as Jason and his three dimensional killing formula are coming to the Alamo Drafthouse Westlake Cinema on Thursday July 12. As part of their Blood Thirsty Thursday, the Westlake will be offering two shows of the technological marvel that is Part 3 in 3D!

  1. I'll be driving an hour and a half to see one of the screenings at the Westlakes location in San Antonio (and dragging along a reluctant friend who has never seen any Friday film in its entirety). It'll be my first time seeing any of the original Paramount films in a movie theater, so I am super excited to say the least. Does anyone know the condition the prints are in? I have no idea how long film retains its quality, but I'm just curious if to know if it's going to be some scratched-up, grainy mess (not that I care, it's Friday the 13th Part 3 in 3D!).

  2. I saw a print about 10 years ago of Part 3 and it was actually in pretty good shape for the age. The 3D was the best I have ever seen, even now. Each print is different quality, but I hope it's not too poor for your showing. Enjoy!

  3. These posters are 24 x 36. They are digitally printed not silk screened as the printer could not get them ready in time ( last time we use them). However you will be getting a amazing HUGE poster hand numbered and signed only for $15.00!
