'The Obsession' Replica Hocks Are Now Available
With anticipation of the new Friday The 13th web series Friday The 13th: The Obsession at an all time high, fans have been wondering if they can get their hands on the hockey masks that were used in the series. Although the actual masks used during filming will not be up for grabs, fans will now have an excellent alternative.
DecayNY Entertainment, the company hired to create the masks for the web series, has just let us know that they will now be offering up replicas of the hockey masks used for the series. There are some truly awesome hocks used for the filming of The Obsession, so if you like what you have seen in photos to this point, then pay attention to the following information provided to us by Gene Mazza of DecayNY Entertainment:
To celebrate & promote Timberwolf's upcoming Friday the 13th: Obsession web series, DecayNY Entertainment is offering replicas of the hockey masks created for the film. There are four different masks in total, the "hero" worn by the series' female protagonist, which combines aspects of the Parts 3 and 5 mask, as well as the three worn by Jason throughout.
One is based on Part 4, but with the same size & shape of the Part 7 mask - - something that many people aren't aware of, when the mask was initially created for Part 3, it was basically a Part 7 mask with no damage, but they enlarged it to accommodate the make-up. There are pics of it floating around out there somewhere. So this particular mask was not just a nod to Parts 4 & 7, but also serves to drop that little known fact on to the fanbase.
The second mask Jason wears has a distinct 7 & JGTH look, with some extra crust, mud & blood on it. And the third, I can't reveal it until the series is out, but it's something that we easily could have seen him with had the producers decided to go an alternate route on one of the later sequels. It's a variation on a VERY popular original mask that DecayNY had originated & produced, and that's all I can say about that one for now.

ReplyDeleteCareful everyone Gene Mazza took over $1000 worth of masks orders a couple years ago and left all the customers in the dark and never full filled orders. even after he was contacted by phone by several people (myself included) Buyer beware

ReplyDeleteYou're leaving out the part where I got sick & spent a year in & out of the hospital, and ASKED for help - - Clown, I asked you personally, over the phone, right after I told you I had vomited blood about half an hour before you called. It was more than just that, but the rest is extremely personal & nothing I feel comfortable sharing with the world at large. When I tried going back to make good on my commitments, my account on FS was gone, along with info I had saved on there & none of you guys wanted to talk to me. I did fulfill what obligations I could thanks to the guys that were talking directly to me & in fact completed a couple of those old transactions within the past few months, and included some bonus pieces to make up for the obnoxiously long wait. And I'll gladly handle any that are still standing if someone wants to email me & put me in the loop.
ReplyDeleteI've been at this for over ten years. When I started, there were only three other guys doing it, now there are only two of us left. I had built myself a reputation I was proud of & seeing it damaged hurt me personally a lot more than any of you three obviously realize. I take a lot of pride in what I do and screwing people over is not a part of it. I'm a lone human being & sometimes crap happens, and if it were EVER my intention to take anyone's money & run, I sure as hell wouldn't be putting myself out in the public's eye, now would I? I don't know where the communication break down was, and I know I've got a part in it, but at one point, it seemed like everyone made up their mind to cut me off & stop talking to me, so honestly, what could I do about it in that case? I reached out for help, I tried letting everyone know that there was a lot going on. I know we've all seen this story before from others who have cut & run, but I'm not them. I've got medical records, doctors bills & notes, legal notices, etc. all validating everything I tried to explain three years ago. And the first thing I did as soon as I was back up & running was to take care of people who had been waiting.
There are well over a dozen people who have ordered & received items from me going from two weeks ago back a year, that can vouch, yes, I'm back & I'm back for real. And for anyone I still owe anything to, I'll say it again, please contact me so we can get it squared it away. Wolf, you said you're handling two of my old orders, send me the info, I'll handle them myself, it's my responsibility. I appreciate you stepping in & picking up the slack for me, I wish I could've been privy to the coordination you guys have done, because I caused this, and I said it before, I asked for help, I really needed it, but that doesn't mean I wanted all the work done for me. I wanted to be a part of the solution to the problems that my personal life brought on. Please. One of you guys. Please get me a list of whatever orders are still open. Several? No, just you. I tried calling you back a couple weeks later. And Mike. And Ken. And the other Mike. To try & figure something out. To explain things better than I ever will out in public. But apparently you guys had made your minds up at that point & I don't blame you, because plenty of others have given stories & then disappeared forever. The difference is, I'm still here. I'm not hiding. And if I was such a scumbag, then believe me, you can bet the rent I'd be hiding for good. The last few posts I made on FS before my account was shut down made it clear I was dealing with a medical issue, which I had touched on with you over the phone. And I made sure to get any documentation that I could in case I need to quiet any cynics. Please email me when you've got a minute, I want to know what's been taken care of, how, by who, and who's still left waiting on stuff, because I would very much like to fulfill my obligations to them at the very least.

I've got over 10 years worth of satisfied customers, with a sizable handful from this year alone. Anyone I owe anything to, I ask that you please email me so that I can get your merchandise into your hands ASAP.
ReplyDeleteGene, we made our minds up when we contacted you and contacted you asking you to at least get on the forum and talk to everyone. We had people waiting 8 months to a year asking us if we had heard from you. Its understandable that you had medical issues... and yes we are privy to some of the "personal" issues you are refering to... I wont mention them but its those issues that also made us upset with you. Ken locking your account wasnt something done out of no where, we tried for months to get you to contact your customers and we still had people going nuts on the forum saying they have been waiting and waiting. We even told you we were filling orders for you to help you out and you said you would pay us back... that never happened either. We never heard a word from you. Even after all this time you never reached out to us. Now, do you have the right to start making hockey masks again? Sure! Your a grown man and its a free country, but I think its fair that people know about the past...
ReplyDeleteI did try contacting you. You specifically, as well as Ken. As well as both Mikes. And believe me, you're not privy to as much as you think, there was a whole lot happening that personally disgusts me, and a lot of it had to do with who I was living with at the time. And I got on the forum to say I was having some issues. I'm sorry I couldn't get on as frequently or as immediately as everyone would've liked, I really sincerely wish I could've, but considering the circumstances, it was virtually impossible. I don't know how carefully you read what I wrote, but I've said it at least four times now, I reached out, and no one responded in any way, not even a "go to hell", I got literally nothing from anyone I tried to call or write, so yeah, I gave up & spent the next several months focusing on getting my life back together. And I don't care if people know about the past, what had happened was the exception & not the rule, but to assume & just write it off as that being the way it is is just a gross underestimation. I wouldn't wish any of that on my worst enemy, but it's a part of the past and yes, it's a free country, so if I can make amends, you're damn right I'm going to, and if anyone wants to deny me that right, then they've got some severe personal issues & would best take them up with me in private. I'll be the first to admit I screwed up, but for anyone to say that it's because of some character defect, or because I'm a sneak, and don't deserve the chance to make good on my word & do the right thing, anything to assure the public that I'm the same reputable guy that's been doing good, honest business for over a decade, then it's he who has the problem, because I can't imagine any mature, decent human being saying, "No, you screwed up once so you're a screw up for life & you can try to make it right, but we're not gonna look". For the third time, I've been back on the horse & coming through for a year again now. I've got two really talented kids working with me. Things are going better than they have in a very long time. If your mind is made up & you want to slag me personally, go ahead, you have that right & I won't take it personally, it goes with the nature of this business, but don't piss all over the name of this company & ruin things for these two guys who have done nothing wrong and are trying to get somewhere in this field, just because they're working for me. I've always liked you, I've always had nothing but respect for you, and I'm asking you, man to man, please reserve judgement for now. Nothing would make me happier to prove you wrong, and believe me, I will, just sit back & watch. But not out of spite, & not to rub your face in it, never. Just because it's the right thing to do. God forbid, history were to repeat itself, I'll light that torch for you. But that's not even a consideration, because we're in business, we're delivering, and we're making collectors happy, just like you guys are, and I'm taking my rightful place among you all back, and it might take some time, it's gonna take some work, but you'll see, I'm still the straight-forward guy I've always been, I've got some wonderful and I'm a lot less hampered by things beyond my control now. Send me an email, I'll send you my # after I get out of work later today so you can give me a ring & I'll tell you EVERYTHING. Maybe that'll change your opinion a little bit. But otherwise, I mean every word, and I'm sincerely sorry about everything & want nothing more than to redeem the reputation that I worked so hard to build. Dedkid (as he was called a few years back) accepted about 1000 us dollars from clients to work in masks that never reached their customers and that now other artists are painting and trying to fill out ON THEIR OWN TIME AND MONEY because this guy never showed up with neither the masks nor the money to refund.
ReplyDeleteSTAY away from him, even if he fulfills his orders this time around you will be supporting a scammer that will eventually just do it all over again. Do not be a part of the circle. He's a scammer, a thief and a rotten liar and the excuse of being in and out of the hospital does not cleans his face up regarding the money he stole. Gene, you should REFUND the artists that are doing what you should have done yourself for their time and money!

No one is trying to ruin you out of spite, I pesonally believe this community owes it to the collectors to give everyone informed buyer beware. If you are going to make good on what went wrong in the past, then yes I will sit back and watch.
I think everyone here has said their peace and it looks as though you guys have contact info for each other now, so I am going to shut down the comments on this story. Hope everyone understands, just don't think this subject needs to continue anymore on the website. Thanks, everyone.
