Jason Escaping The Shack: In-between Part 2 and Part 3

Artist Crash Cunningham as created some spectacular drawings to accompany some major projects relating to Friday the 13th. His storyboards depicting the alternate ending of Jason Lives: Friday The 13th Part 6 were featured on the Deluxe Edition of the DVD that was released in 2009.

Crash also illustrated scenes from unused scripts during the pre-production phase of Freddy vs Jason to be used for the A Nightmare on Elm Street Documentary Never Sleep Again. Now, Crash is working on more projects trying to tie together the various films in the series to give fans a much needed look at what key scenes would have looked like if committed to film. Just released is his interpretation of what would have happened after Jason was struck in the shoulder at the end of Friday The 13th Part 2, before he ventured to Harold and Edna's place in the beginning of Friday The 13th Part 3.

Crash's vision, pictured below, takes the approach that the final ending of Part 2 was a dream sequence. Jason does not really crash through the window to grab Ginny. Hence, her vision of Jason, which is also the audiences, is not the true look of the homicidal maniac. In fact, the contention is that Jason's facial features in Part 2 would mirror that of his features of Part 3. Some fans may disagree, but this is all part of the project to keep continuity between the films.

Let us know your thoughts of this interpretive vision of Jason escaping his shack after being attacked by Ginny and how you think it should relate to the films.
