The Full Trailer Debuts For Crystal Lake Series!

 The brand new and very exciting full trailer for the streaming series Crystal Lake has just been officially released. The trailer reveals a ton of plot and character information to sift through. Please watch that below to take it all in.

The series is a prequel to the Friday the 13th franchise (specifically Friday The 13th 1980) and follows single mother Pamela Voorhees who has been unable to shake her grief after her young son Jason tragically drowned in Crystal Lake almost a year before. When two strangers arrive at Pam’s door digging into her past, a disturbing chain of events are set into motion, leaving the townspeople of Crystal Lake wondering: just who is Pam Voorhees?

Well, we might have a slight idea who Pam and Jason are now, as the trailer suggests Pamela and Jason's origins may derive from some kind of medical experiment. One character questions her about her past before Pamela seemingly murders him.

There is one scene in the trailer showing police discovering animal corpses with odd objects found in the wounds (possibly teeth). Seems as though Jason never drowned and is now living off the land, eating wild animals and vegetation.

That fact translates over to one very quick and exciting scene that seriously shows someone running through the woods wearing the exact flannel, coveralls and Sack mask that Jason Voorhees wore in Friday The 13th Part 2.

Here is what we can derive from the trailer overall; Pamela and Jason are seemingly on the run from the entity from which they were apart of medical experiments and when Jason "drowns", coupled with people showing up to start questioning Pamela's true identity and history, all hell breaks loose.

Oh yea, Barry and Claudette totally bite it at the camp for leaving Jason in that lake alone to drown. Mark our words!

The full eight-episode season of Crystal Lake premieres on Peacock (U.S.) on October 15, 2026 (all episodes at once and 60 minutes in length each); also, on Sky Atlantic/NOW in the UK/Ireland, HBO Max across Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and Crave in Canada.

Crystal Lake stars Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, with Callum Vinson as young Jason Voorhees, plus William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, Gwendolyn Sundstrom, and others (including Nick Cordileone as Crazy Ralph). 

Brad Caleb Kane is executive producing Crystal Lake together with A24 and an executive producing team that includes Marc Toberoff and Victor Miller (Friday 13th LLC), Robert M. Barsamian and Robert P. Barsamian (Horror Inc.), Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox and Roy Lee.
