Harry Manfredinin Returns To Friday The 13th Franchise To Add New Score For Familiar Sequence In Crystal Lake

For the past several years, it has been known that original Friday The 13th film score composer Harry Manfredini would be involved with Crystal Lake. After the series was first announced, original show runner Bryan Fuller mentioned he would be a part of the series in some capacity, and after Brad Caleb Kane took over duties for steering Crystal Lake, he also let it be known that Harry was on board to contribute.

In a brand-new article at Empire, Harry's involvement is tied to what Brad revealed the title sequence will look like for each episode:

The credit sequence can really help set the right atmosphere and vibe from the start....But I also wanted to give a nod to the original Friday The 13th movie; the words ‘Crystal Lake’ pop out of the screen, shatter the glass, and the credits use the same font as the movie.

It is in these opening credits where Harry's new music will be utilized in the Crystal Lake series!

In a new show and series where there will be so many easter eggs for longtime fans of the Friday The 13th films, it is great that Harry Manfredinin is afforded an opportunity to continue his legacy in the franchise.

The full eight-episode season of Crystal Lake premieres on Peacock (U.S.) on October 15, 2026 (all episodes at once and 60 minutes in length each); also, on Sky Atlantic/NOW in the UK/Ireland, HBO Max across Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and Crave in Canada.

Crystal Lake stars Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, with Callum Vinson as young Jason Voorhees, plus William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, Gwendolyn Sundstrom, and others (including Nick Cordileone as Crazy Ralph).

Brad Caleb Kane is executive producing Crystal Lake together with A24 and an executive producing team that includes Marc Toberoff and Victor Miller (Friday 13th LLC), Robert M. Barsamian and Robert P. Barsamian (Horror Inc.), Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox and Roy Lee.
