Friday The 13th Part 3 House Being Rebuilt At Filming Location!

Many of our readers hold Friday The 13th Part 3 near and dear to their heart. The 3-D gimmick, of course, is a staple of the film and something that all moviegoers remember, but characters like Shelly really make the film memorable. Many fans have made the trek out to the filming location at Veluzat Movie Ranch in California over the years (some legally and some illegally) and have been able to see the Higgins Haven house and barn. Unfortunately, back in 2006, the house itself burned down due to some careless fans who were on the property and no one has been able to visit or film the house since.

Most people, including myself, thought we would never have the opportunity to see this house again, however, today a very interesting bit of news was brought to our attention through a post in our forum by user Jason_Is_God. While Youtuber Scott On Tape was interviewing the owner of the ranch filming location, Daniel Veluzat, it was mentioned that the house is being rebuilt and the lake is being recreated! Daniel also stated that their may be something in the works with the filming location when the house and lake are brought back.

This is pretty exciting news as preserving the filming locations of the Friday the 13th franchise is historically important as these films age throughout the decades. Being able to tour this Veluzat Part 3 location with replica Higgins Haven house and lake intact would be a huge win for fans and more than likely a great opportunity for paid tours to infuse new revenue into the Movie Ranch, which is probably where this endeavor is going.

Check out the location tour video below that includes the interview with Daniel. We hope to hear more about this project soon and look forward to visiting the Movie Ranch when the house and lake are completed!
