Remembering Havoc/Unleaded's Unfinished Friday The 13th Video Game

Back in 2011, we were very excited to find out that an ultra cool fan video game was being created for Friday The 13th fans, simply titled "Friday The 13th". This game was going to be available to play on PC only to begin with and if fans liked it and the developers had time, they were going to expand it to other platforms. We were breaking exclusive updates on the game all the way through to September 2011 on mostly a monthly basis, and then the updates just stopped. Early in 2012, we tried to contact co-creator Ken Beard of Unleaded Games to find out what may have happened, but had not received a reply back.

Many fans have been asking us about the status of the game and so we started checking up on a few leads. The Havoc Games And Unleaded Games websites have since been discontinued and many videos we featured here on the website of the developing video game posted on Youtube have been deleted as well. Last June, we received some encouraging news from co-creator Ken when he contacted the website to give us an update on the project.

Some personal issues caused the video game project to be halted as well as rising costs of developing a high concept video game, such as the one that Havoc and Unleaded Games have been creating. So, for right now, the game development is at a stand still, but Ken is confident they will be able to move forward at a certain point in time. Fans love the concept of the game so far and are eagerly awaiting its release! Check out some of the screen shots of the game that was in development, below.

It's too bad a crowd funding campaign was not started to try and raise funds to complete this great looking video game. It looked very promising and would have been fun for the fans to play.

If we ever hear anything new about the game "Friday The 13th", we will let the fan know!
