Crystal Lake Series Makes The Cover Of Fangoria!

 Friday the 13th returns to Fangoria with a new project for the first time in 17 years! The new subscriber cover for Volume 2, Issue 33 will highlight Crystal Lake and one particular grizzly death.

In the issue, Fangoria takes a dive into the behind the scenes of the production, and particularly, the make-up effects that will continue the legacy of the Friday The 13th franchise. Both subscriber and retailer issues will be shipped and available in stores this October.

The full eight-episode season of Crystal Lake premieres on Peacock (U.S.) on October 15, 2026 (all episodes at once); also, on Sky Atlantic/NOW in the UK/Ireland and HBO Max across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. 

Crystal Lake stars Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, with Callum Vinson as young Jason Voorhees, plus William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, Gwendolyn Sundstrom, and others (including Nick Cordileone as Crazy Ralph). 

Set in the early 1970s the prequel/slasher series will explore events surrounding Camp Crystal Lake and the origins/grief of Pamela Voorhees after her son Jason’s drowning, blending psychological thriller elements with the franchise’s horror legacy. 

Brad Caleb Kane is executive producing Crystal Lake together with A24 and an executive producing team that includes Marc Toberoff and Victor Miller (Friday 13th LLC), Robert M. Barsamian and Robert P. Barsamian (Horror Inc.), Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox and Roy Lee.
