Jason Enters The Trading Card Game Realm In Hellbreak

 Hellbreak is a new horror-themed trading card game (TCG) launching in Fall 2026 (targeted for October 31), where iconic monsters from film and TV clash in head-to-head battles. 

Jason was just officially announced via Screenrant as joining the game on July 30, 2026. He enters as a playable Monster card in the first set, Dawn of Terror, alongside other legends like Dracula, Jaws (the shark), the Bride of Frankenstein, the Headless Horseman, and more. Future sets will expand with properties from Universal, Blumhouse, AMC, Lionsgate, and Paramount. 

Here are the different cards made available so far for Jason:

- Jason (Monster – Crystal Lake Killer, Unleashed side): A human-slasher type with high durability (around 16 health) that gains power from attached items.

- Hockey Mask (Asset/Upgrade – Item – Mask): Attaches to a character; provides Bloodlust and other benefits when killing minions.

- Savage Blow (Event): Unleashed action that attacks and weakens targets based on locations controlled.

- Other supporting cards like events and tactics themed around jumpscares, fear, and classic kills. 

How the game works:

- It’s a fast 2-player game (about 20–30 minutes) designed by Ghost Galaxy in collaboration with Spin Master and Universal Products & Experiences.

- Each player picks a Monster to lead their deck (the Monster starts “Lurking” and can flip to a more powerful “Unleashed” side).

- Build resources (Blood, Malice, etc.), play Minions, Events, Assets, and control Locations.

- Rounds have three phases: Feeding (collect resources + bid for initiative), Horror (play cards, attack, scheme, use abilities), and Refresh.

- Attack opposing characters/minions or scheme to damage the enemy Monster’s health stack (made from deck cards). The first to kill the opposing Monster wins.

- Features “Jump Scare” reactive abilities, loyalty/aspect requirements for playing cards, and strategic location control.
