Corey Parker, Pete In Friday The 13th A New Beginning, Has Died At 60


 Sad news as another alumni has passed away. Actor Corey Parker, known as Pete, from the greaser duo in Friday The 13th: A New Beginning, died this past Thursday in Memphis, Tennessee, following a cancer diagnosis. It’s unclear what type of cancer he had.

Born July 8, 1965 in New York City, son of actress Rochelle ‘Rocky’ Parker and husband John David Haas, Corey Parker began acting in TV commercials at age 4 before attending New York’s High School of Performing Arts.

Making his onscreen debut in a 1983 episode of As the World Turn, Parker became a familiar face on TV, appearing in The New Leave It to Beaver, Thirtysomething, Flying Blind, Touched by an Angel, Love Boat: The Next Wave, Nashville and Will & Grace, in which he had a recurring role as Grace’s boyfriend Josh.

Besides appearing in Friday The 13th: A New Beginning in film, he also appeared in 9 1/2 Weeks (1986), Biloxi Blues (1988), Big Man on Campus (1989), Encino Woman (1996) and The Rainmaker (1997).

Also an acting instructor, Parker worked on CMT’s Sun Records (2017) and the Disney+ MCU series Ms. Marvel (2022). His actor studio posted the Instagram message below.
