Marvel At The Friday The 13th: The Series Tombstone Press Kit Set!

There has been a lot of discussions around the impending Friday The 13th show Crystal Lake, which will debut on streaming service Peacock at some point within the next year or so. This got us thinking about the franchise’s first show, which was released in syndication in 1987 by Paramount and run by the creative team behind the films during that same time.

Friday The 13th: The Series has absolutely no ties to the films released in the theaters, but the show is part of the history of the franchise because it was distributed and created by the people behind the films. It was an interesting project for the time and the show was approved to be made to simply capitalize on the Friday The 13th name.

To prepare for the release of the show, an absolutely stunning press kit was produced to capitalize on the marketing of the show, which showcased a tombstone with Friday The 13th: The Series literally etched in stone. When I first saw this marketing, I immediately thought of Jason Lives: Friday The 13th Part VI. Good job marketing team! This awesome tombstone press kit was sent out to networks and publications to promote the show and contains a plethora of materials. This set is awesome!

Die hard fans of this show have probably seen this kit, but for the rest of our readers, this will be something new to behold!

The top of the tombstone opens to provide all of the materials necessary to promote the show.

- Radio spots reel
- Television spots reel
- Photo slides
- Ad slicks for newspaper and magazines
- Show synopsis
- Actor Biographies

Check out all of the images below. This press kit is honestly one of the coolest I have ever seen. Nice job Paramount!
