Jason Takes Manhattan and The New Blood To Debut On Vinyl WIth 'Darkest Side Of The Night'

Waxwork Records announced their new lineup of subscription offerings for 2020, and a huge surprise is that they will be releasing Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood and Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan for the first time on vinyl! There has never been an official soundtrack release for either of these films in the past on any format.

Waxwork worked closely with Paramount Pictures to locate and transfer the original 1988 and 1989 master tapes of the scores for both films. Both releases will have new artwork, re-mastered audio, deluxe packaging, and double LP! Perhaps the most exciting news of either release is that Jason Takes Manhattan will feature "The Darkest Side Of The Night"! This is a must own.

Back in 2011, It's Been Real Inc. released an unofficial digital soundtrack of composer Fred Mollin's music for both films. The digital offering lasted a few years before it was pulled from circulation, but bootleg CD's of the digital soundtrack were offered for sale and can still be found occasionally today.

Waxwork Records has definitely blessed the Friday The 13th fans with these new releases. If you're interested in signing up for the subscription, head over to waxworkrecords.com.
