Watch Mrs. Voorhees On An Aircraft Carrier This Friday The 13th!

I have attended a lot of screenings of Friday The 13th films over the years, but the information that was just passed along to our website ranks up near the top as one of the coolest venues to watch a franchise move ever. This July 13th you can watch Friday The 13th 1980 on the flight deck of the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier! The Intrepid was decommissioned in 1974 and now is home to New York City’s Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum Complex, which is an educational and cultural non-profit institution centered on the aircraft carrier.

The museum just kicked off their new Summer Movie Series season this week and will be showing the original franchise film for free on a first come, first serve basis.

Watch a movie on the ship’s flight deck, under the stars! Enjoy views of the Hudson River and city skyline while you watch some old and new favorites on the big screen. Admission tickets (free of charge) will be distributed first-come, first-served before the show.

The flight deck opens at 7:00pm, and the movie begins at sunset, weather permitting. Space is limited. Alcohol is not permitted, doors close at 8:30pm.

Museum members can reserve a certain number of tickets now. If you live in New York or are thinking about visiting this summer, this screening would be an awesome screening to attend. Thanks to Vincent McKeever for letting us know about the event.
