'The Last Witch Hunter' Director In Discussions To Direct New 'Friday The 13th'

In yet another stop in the long rode to getting a new Friday The 13th film into theaters, trade Deadline has reported that Breck Eisner is in talks to direct the new film, which is written by Aaron Guzikwoski. This could signal that the film is getting close to going into production as the script was turned in earlier this summer and now a director is being sought to production.

Eisner’s other film credits include the remake of The Crazies, the Mathew McCunahey vehicle Sahara and most recently, the Vin Diesel film The Last Witch Hunter. A cool tidbit about Breck is that his father Michael was President and CEO of Paramount Pictures, from 1976 to 1984 when the rights for the Friday The 13th franchise were originally acquired. Decades later, Michael's son could help resurrect the franchise again!

Stay tuned for more on these developments.
