'Friday The 13th' Producers Find a Director For 'The Birds' Remake

The long gestating remake of Alfred Hitchcock's 1963 film The Birds has finally received a director for the film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Platinum Dunes and Universal Pictures have settled on Dutch Director Diederik Van Rooijen, who is known for his Dutch television show Penoza which was remade into the U.S. show for ABC called Red Widow.

So it's great that the newest remake from Platinum Dunes has a director, but of course our readers will still want to know where is the director for the Friday The 13th sequel due out in almost a year? With Dunes juggling multiple projects being released this year and next, it will be interesting to see where Jason Voorhees fits into the fray and when fans will hear more news about the next film in the franchise.
