Jason Voorhees Actor To Become Killer In 'Joy Ride 3'

Yesterday, it was announced at Shock Till You Drop that Fox was kicking into high gear a second sequel in the Joy Ride franchise for which the maniacal killer 'Rusty Nail' torments his prey on the open road. Joy Ride 3 starts shooting on September 3rd, but who will play the aforementioned psychopath? Well, how about a guy who's played a killer before?

While speaking to the Winnipeg Free Press about the sequel, Writer/Director Declan O'Brien let out the name of a man a lot of people will know well from the Friday The 13th franchise as playing Jason Voorhees. Ken Kirzinger (Friday The 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan, Freddy vs Jason) was mentioned by O'Brien to be playing the title maniac 'Rusty Nail', so look for a tall, dominating force to play cat and mouse with his new prey soon. About The Film
Rusty Nail is back on the road again looking to punish injustice at every turn — and this time it’s with a group of hothead twenty-somethings on their way to the Road Rally 1000. As they drive through a desolate shortcut on the way to the race, an encounter with Rusty turns sour, and soon he is tracking, teasing, and torturing them until the end of the road.
