Friday The 13th Part 7 Victim Starts Horror/Sci-Fi Company

William Butler has been around Hollywood for over 3 decades, involved in numerous film projects in many different capacities. He has written, produced, directed, acted and even supplied make-up effects work for the films he has been involved in. In the late 1980's, he could be found in a bunch of well known genre franchises, such as Ghoulies and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. However, Will is known by Friday The 13th fans for his acting work in Friday The 13th Part 7: The New Blood playing ill-fated cousin Michael who dies by tent spike to the back after his car stalls on the side of the road.

Since his days of acting, he went on to manage special effects for the Stallone action film Demolition Man as well as the John Carpenter remake Village Of The Damned. Most importantly, Will turned to writing, directing and producing for which he had a hand in the direct to video Gingerbread Man franchise (They're cheesy, but in good fun!). So now news has come down today that William Butler has partnered to start a new production company, Dark Ride Entertainment, that will focus on creating cost effective Horror and Sci-Fi films. Their first order of business is the first film for the company which is called Hell Storm, a post-apocalyptic Sci-Fi/Horror project written and directed by Butler and filming in Los Angeles in late Summer 2012.

Keep an eye out for more news on that new film as well as other genre offerings in the coming years from William Butler and Dark Ride Entertainment!
