Friday The 13th Helping Return Of Leslie Vernon

Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon is one of the best deconstructions of the slasher genre you will ever see. Part found footage, part parody, part documentary, the legend of Leslie Vernon chronicles the exploits of a man who aspires to become bigger than Jason Voorhees and other maniacal figures of film. One unsuspecting college film crew signs up to document Leslie's routine leading up to one unforgettable and murderous night.

The 2006 film was a mild success financially, but the cult following is enormous and Friday the 13th fans always remember Kane Hodder's cameo appearance in the film, which was another nod to the slasher genre. Now the filmmakers and Leslie Vernon himself (Nathan Baesel) are on a mission to resurrect the killer and go back to the beginning with a prequel as worthy as the original success. In order to do so, they need the fans help to raise money to produce the film and are offering something Friday The 13th fans might enjoy to do so.

Artist Jeffrey Zornow has created a Leslie Vernon, Friday The 13th "mash-up" using the poster from Friday The 13th Part 7: The New Blood and it is an appealing sight to witness. Check out the artwork below and if you're interested in helping bring Leaslie Vernon back to the screen and want to own a killer shirt sporting the mash-up below, visit the official store using the link posted.
