Terrordrome Moves Forward With Jason And Freddy

We just learned of some pretty encouraging news regarding the fan video game, Terrordrome: Rise Of The Boogeymen. Last November, Warner Bros. sent out a cease and desist letter to the creator of the game to pull the Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger character from the Mortal Kombat styled game. Since the creator of the fan game did not hold the license for the characters, they were both pulled.

Of course, we all learned why both characters were asked to be pulled as Freddy was recently announced as a DLC for the newest Mortal Kombat game. However, it looks as though the Terrordrome team is not giving up on their highly regarded and beloved video game project. The official website for the fan video game contains a new update explaining the change in direction of the project that will include the Jason and Freddy characters! How can this be, you may wonder? Well, here is a simple break down.

The creators are no longer going to be offering a download of the game on their website, but will be using their site to showcase images of the progress of the fan game which is now being referenced as an individual project. Fans are encouraged to email the website for more information and to possibly demo the game on a per request basis. We hope that this new stance holds up and that Warner Bros. gives these developers a break.

Meanwhile, some new images were posted of the new Candyman character in action against Jason Voorhees. Check out those images below and to read about the new direction of the game in its entirety, please visit the Terrordrome website!
