Meet Jason Voorhees at Horror Weekend!

There have been many chances to meet various Friday the 13th alumni at horror conventions over the past twenty plus years, but there are a few actors or actresses that rarely attend. Furthermore, out of that group of rare alumni there are those that are big fan favorites as well. So, when there is an opportunity to meet one of those rare Friday actors, we let you know.

Such is the case with Jason Voorhees actor Derek Mears. Since Derek is very active in Hollywood, his availability is limited to get booked for conventions. That being said, Derek was recently announced to be attending the Horror Weekend. This convention will be taking place in Gatlinburg, Tennessee the weekend of October 1-2, 2011.

    Derek was one of the nicest actors I have ever met. He and Brian Steel have a great rapport, hope to see them do more movies together. Can not wait to see Derek play the Jason again.

    I missed my chance to meet Derek at Days Of The Dead. I have heard he so great to the fans and he is cool on Twitter. Congrats on getting to meet him!
