Australian Beta Hold Lost Film Footage?

In early Fall of 2010, there was one individual that was selling two very rare Beta tapes of both Friday the 13th Part 3 and Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter. The reason this writer took notice is that they were Australian tapes and advertised as "Uncut". Could these tapes have long lost uncut footage?

The seller resides in Australia and was selling the Beta tapes on eBay stating that the tapes for both films were uncut and given out as preview tapes to critics that did not have access to 35MM prints for viewing. The films were released on CIC video in Europe and other areas of the world and were heavily censored before the general public were able to see them. The question has been pondered, do these tapes contain any of the cut scenes from Part 3, such as Able confronting Chris and Rick or the alternate ending with the beheading of Chris by Jason?

The running times listed on these tapes do run a tad longer than their U.S. counterparts, but may have to do with the fact that these tapes are PAL format as opposed to the NTSC format we are use to seeing in the States. At any rate, it would indeed be exciting to find some lost footage on these tapes and would be a welcome surprise!
