First Jason Rises Against The Dead

Artist Jan Hellmich is currently drawing a new comic story titled, First Jason Rising, about Ari Lehman (Young Jason, Friday the 13th 1980) being possessed by the spirit of Jason Voorhees and battling the undead. Jan mentioned on his Facebook page that he still does not have a plot finalized yet, but I am sure that this comic story will deliver the goods for fans.

I was also notified that Jan will be working together with Mario Coleman from Reaper Comics UK to produce this comic for 2011. The only set back looks to be that the Friday the 13th elements may have to be removed from the comic due to rights issues. My guess would be that the hock may be removed, which would be a bummer.

Roy from Friday the 13th Part 5 is making a guest appearance in "First Jason Rising". If you wonder why, notice the fact that Ari is wearing the P5 mask in all of the pictures I've drawn so far. If you always thought Roy went berserk just because his son was killed guess again. "First Jason Rising" will give you the true answer.....
