Callum Vinson Discusses Time Spent Getting Into The Jason Voorhees Makeup For Crystal Lake Series
About The Jason Voorhees Makeup
While being interviewed by TV Line, Callum was asked how long it took to get the prosthetics on to become Jason Voorhees. Callum mentioned the original casting of his head took about 4.5 hours. The original make-up test for Brad with actual prosthetics first took 3 hours to apply. Eventually, the makeup team worked to apply the prosthetics within nearly 1.5 hours for the day-to-day filming.
Brad offered up more information that the prosthetic makeup weighed eighteen pounds and that ventilation was eventually built into the prosthetics by effects artist Dave Presto to help Callum during the hot days of Summer 2025.
