First Official Images Revealed For Crystal Lake!

 Crystal Lake is the highly anticipated upcoming TV series serving as a prequel to the Friday the 13th franchise. Produced by A24 and streaming exclusively on Peacock, it dives into the origins of the infamous Camp Crystal Lake, focusing on Pamela Voorhees (played by Linda Cardellini) and the early years surrounding her son Jason Voorhees (with Callum Vinson as a young Jason).

The show explores the events and tragedy that shaped the Voorhees family and the cursed town's dark history, described by showrunner Brad Caleb Kane as more of a psychological thriller/paranoid '70s-style story with slasher DNA—though not a full traditional slasher. Expect "rivers of blood" and a grounded, darker reimagining of the lore.

Filming wrapped in late 2025 (after locations in New Jersey like Blairstown and West Milford), and it's currently in post-production. The series is set to premiere sometime in 2026 on Peacock (with international deals like Sky in the UK).
