Never Hike Alone follows the story of KYLE MCLEOD (Andrew Leighty), an avid backcountry hiker who, while on a solo backpacking trip, discovers the long lost remains of CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE. Ignoring the campfire stories from his childhood, Kyle’s curious nature draws him in to see what is left of the camp which has been closed ever since the infamous 1980 Friday the 13th murders.

However, Kyle’s innocent search of the camp turns deadly when he is attacked by Camp Crystal Lake's last remaining resident, JASON VOORHEES. Stranded alone in the middle of the wilderness, with no equipment, and a legendary mass murderer on his heels, Kyle’s survival skills will be put to the test like never before. Will he make it out of the woods alive or become another victim of the infamous cursed camp?

LOS ANGELES, CA, MONDAY, SEPT 25, 2017 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Womp Stomp Films is excited to announce that Never Hike Alone has been made an official selection of the 8th annual Telluride Horror Show.

“Having the opportunity to premiere Never Hike Alone at the Telluride Horror Show is a dream come true for the team and a testament to the hard work put in by our crew over the past year. Our goal from the beginning was to do something special for Friday fans and we couldn’t think of a better venue to do just that.” [DiSanti]

The film will make its world premier on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Sheridan Opera House, which will include a follow up Q&A with the film’s cast and crew.

Directed by Vincente DiSanti, Never Hike Alone follows an adventure blogger, Kyle McLeod (Andrew Leighty), who uncovers the long lost remains of Camp Crystal Lake while on a solo backpacking trip. Ignoring the campfire tales from his childhood, Kyle's search turns deadly when he crosses the path of Camp Blood’s legendary mass murderer, Jason Voorhees. Stranded in the forest with Jason on his heels, Kyle must push his survival skills to their limits if he hopes to survive the night. Otherwise, he'll wind up as another lost victim of the cursed camp.

Sarah DiSanti, Barry Jay, Carolyn Gair, Kyle Klein and Daniel Evans produced the film for $40,000 with funds raised through a successful Kickstarter campaign earlier this year.

The Telluride Horror Show will be held October 13-15, 2017 in Telluride, Colorado. This year’s line up of films includes a variety of highly anticipated horror films such as “Creep 2,” “Mayhem,” “Victor Crowley,” “Jungle,” with more to be announced.

In conjunction with the premier screening, Never Hike Alone will launch on several streaming platforms such as Youtube, Vimeo, and Facebook where it can be viewed for free by Friday the 13th fans around the world.
