Mezco Toyz Unlocks Vault Of Jason Voorhees Prototype Figures For Sale

Until NECA's most recent 7 inch figure offerings of Jason Voorhees from Friday The 13th Part 3 and Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter, Mezco Toyz had released the most innovative and accurate Jason figures on the market. They lost the license for 7 inch Friday The 13th figures back in 2010 and NECA has proudly continued on with Jason ever since. Fans who collect these figures know all too well about the large amount of money the Mezco Jason figures sell for on eBay, especially the Jason Lives: Friday The 13th Part 6 Jason figure.

Well, now some select collectors and fans will have an opportunity to acquire the prototypes and test figures for some of these highly sought after Jason collectible pieces. According to MTV's Geek News, Mezco Toyz is opening up it's New York office on August 15th to sell these rare figures.

What makes the vault sales especially interesting is that these test items and prototypes normally end up on display at institutions like The Museum Of The Moving Image or Geppi's Entertainment Museum, but are instead available for purchase for prices as low as $60 and, on average, in the $100-$200 price range.

The vault is located at Mezco Toyz New York City headquarters at 2109 Borden Ave, Long Island City, on the second floor. It opens Thursday, Aug. 15 for invitation only customers, but is then open to the public (ages 13 and older) on Friday from noon until 5 p.m.
