Sad News: Jason Actor Richard Brooker Passes

It is with much regret that I must report that Friday The 13th Part 3 Jason Voorhees actor Richard Brooker has passed away. Rumors began swirling this afternoon that Richard had passed away and now it looks like it is unfortunately true. Richard himself posted on his Facebook page early yesterday that he was ill and not feeling well, and today his passing was tweeted by LA's Dearly Departed and confirmed by his former business manager Eric Branden on Facebook.

It is indeed a very sad day for fans of the Friday The 13th films, and for the fans that have met Richard personally at conventions and other events. I met Richard two Summers ago at a convention and he was such a nice guy. He was full of life, and very energetic with swinging that machete at his table. For those people that attended any of the conventions he was a part of, you will know what I am talking about.

Thanks Richard for all of your time devoted to the fans of Friday The 13th Part 3 and the franchise. Our thoughts go out to Richard's family and may he rest in peace!
