Friday The 13th Book Release Date Changed

In February we debuted the full cover for Author David Grove's new Friday The 13th book On Location In Blairstown: The Making Of Friday The 13th. At that time we mentioned a release date of May 9th, which would coincide with the theatrical release date of Friday The 13th 1980, which the book is chronicling. With that date fast approaching, fans were wondering where pre-order information was and since none could be found, we asked the publisher of the book about the release and they let us know the date has been changed.

The new release date of the book will be Friday September 13, 2013. That's right, the book about Friday The 13th will be released on Friday The 13th! Fans will have to wait a couple of extra months to get the book, but it will be well worth it. Look for more information on the book in the coming weeks with perhaps a few surprises along the way.

About 'On Location In Blairstown: The Making Of Friday The 13th'
On location in Blairstown: The Making of Friday the 13th covers the creation, planning and filming of the iconic 1980 film Friday the 13th in a way that no other film has been documented before.  Through the memories of the cast and crew, many speaking for the first (and last) time, as well as previously-undiscovered production information and materials, On location in Blairstown: The Making of Friday the 13th takes the reader "on location" and back in time to 1979 for the filming of Friday the 13th and behind the scenes for all of the adventures, conflicts and dramas that went into the making of one of the most enduring and popular horror films in history.

The new Friday The 13th book is 8 x 10 and filled to the brim with 350 pages of information and photos from the production of the original Voorhees slasher classic. There is also a Foreward by Friday The 13th alumni and special effects legend Tom Savini! The cost of the book is going to be $19.99, according to the cover and could change by street date, however. On Location In Blairstown hits stores on Friday September 13th, 2013!
