Auction And Other Convention Offers Options For Camp Blood Ticket Holders

A few months back, I offered my opinion and information on what has transpired with the Camp Blood: Friday the 30th reunion event. For those that do not know, this was to be a gigantic reunion of cast and crew from all of the Friday the 13th films in the series. Many people bought tickets ahead of time for the event that was to be held on August 13, 2010. Sadly, the event was postponed to May 13, 2011.

Eventually, this past January, it was learned that many of the guests were not going to be attending the event as promised by the show's promoter and everything quickly fell apart. The official website for the show was pulled down as well as the forum for the event. As of right now, the wiki page for Texas Fear Fest, the LLC for the event, is listed as cancelled! With that being said, a lot of great people in the community have pulled together to help out the ticketholders of Camp Blood.

First off, there is a legitimate reunion convention being organized as this is being written, that is working hard to bring together a proper Friday the 13th reunion. The Monster Mania convention will be bring Friday the 13th actors and crew to Hunt Valley, Maryland this June 3rd. For a full list of who cas been confirmed to attend so far, please visit their website. This will at least offer an alternative for those who really want to meet a lot of the people who made the franchise possible.

The other good news is that there is currently and auction running that will offer some financial relief for those people that bought tickets to the Camp Blood event. Proceeds from the auctioned items will be distributed to those fans that have receipt of purchase for their Camp Blood ticket. Currently, there are nine lots of autographed merchandise from various stars of horror films. There is a pretty cool lot that contains autographs and lobby cards from the Friday the 13th film franchise. If you are a collector and are interested in placing a bid for these items, lease visit the eBay auctions and help out those that were fraudulently misled into paying for an event that has not happened.

  1. Man, I like some of the items being offered in the auctions. I took a look and they are cool. I also hope that everyone gets as much of their money back as possible. Good Luck.

Jasonsfury, are you going to place a bid on these auctions to help?

  3. Shouldn't the years under the Cunningham picture be "80, 09" instead of "08, 09?"

  4. Agreed. I think that they just have a typo on their promo work. I will let them know. Thanks for pointing that out. :)
